Third Global Report on SDG 16: Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies

This side event of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly launched the
Third Global Report on SDG 16: Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies, produced by OHCHR, UNDP, and UNODC. Among the key findings of the report were that conflict and violence remains high; women continue to be underrepresented across public service, the judiciary, and national legislatures; and the right to access public information is now legally guaranteed in 139 countries. As well as presenting findings, the event discussed initiatives and reaffirmed SDG 16 as vital for resilient, just societies.
